Milad un Nabi, also known as Mawlid al-Nabi, is the celebration of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the founder of Islam. It is observed by many Muslims around the world with various cultural and religious traditions.

“Milad” or “Mawlid” means birth, and Milad un Nabi translates to “Birth of the Prophet. Date: It is observed on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal, the third month in the Islamic lunar calendar. (In 2025, this falls around September 15, depending on moon sightings.)
